checks and gingham
From The Row and Kallmeyer’s graphic car coats to Bottega’s inside-out gingham, we loved the checks and gingham on the spring runways. —Chloe Malle, Vogue.com editor
fresh color
I don’t know what’s going on, but I suddenly want to wear sheer pink and butter yellow. I don’t know if it’s the mid-January blues or the fact that the Spring 2025 collection is starting to trickle into my new arrivals page and feed its shades…but minimalists like Khaite As well as friendly brands, you’ll find pale pinks and yellows too, including Totem and The Garment, as well as Chanel, Miu Miu, Alaïa, Fendi and Ferragamo. Made with light, wispy fabrics, these shades are the perfect sweetness for spring and work wonders in neutral wardrobes, including my own. —Madeline Fass, Shopping Markets Senior Editor
coastal preparation
Look forward to sailor stripes, dreamy cotton skirts and dresses, boat shoes, and all sorts of sporty midlayers and jackets that bring a fresh, fashion-forward perspective to the preppy coastal aesthetic. Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, Proenza Schouler, etc. To top it all off, how perfect is this Basket Clutch Underwater Weaving made for the Maria McManus show?Obsessed! —Talia Abbas, Senior Shopping Editor
new business code
It seems like every season we find new answers to old questions. “What can I wear to work to be just as smart and stylish?” From super-high-waisted pants and clean-lined pencil skirts to oversized blazers and sleek, pointed-toe pumps, according to the spring runways. The spotlight is on fresh proportions and silhouettes. I’m particularly encouraged by this trend. Ultimately, I wear classic styles on a daily basis, but with a little more volume. Below, I’m shopping high street pieces straight from the runway, including Another Tomorrow, Bottega Veneta, and Victoria Beckham. As with any top trend, the options are truly endless. —Laura Jackson, Shopping Writer
electric blues
In honor of red and burgundy, you’re ready to incorporate more vibrant colors into your wardrobe. I love neutral colors, but spring 2025 has plenty of cobalt blue, azure blue, and, yes, cerulean blue to add to my closet. —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer
Fluid shape and proportions
First, artistic tops have made their way into my wardrobe from fall to winter. I would like to continue this as the weather gets warmer for spring. There’s something so magical and sexy about the liquid-like shapes that brush over your body that I find very strange. Will it float? am i magic? In any case, you want to be surrounded by this luxurious and light texture. —Cortne Bonilla, Senior Shopping Writer
leather weather
I probably don’t need another jacket because it’s the item I own the most, but it’s been my constant companion for years. Except during the spring. Collections are presented in February and March, when jacket weather is still strong, but most brands are active in dresses, floral prints and linens without the appearance of jackets. This year has been very different as brands have adopted a ‘buy now’, ‘wear now’ approach. Add the jacket to your wishlist immediately. — Libby Page, Executive Shopping Director
fancy flats
I don’t know if this is a real trend or just a trend in my mind, but what I’m dying to get this season is a little bejeweled two-tone to wear with weird little socks. Colored shoes. —Laia Garcia Furtado, Fashion News Senior Editor
mod mini
Lately, I’ve been trying to dress a little more maturely, but I never get tired of mod mini dresses. The silhouette is so fun (and comfortable) that it’s the perfect base for my shoe of choice: Platform. —Leah Faye Cooper, Director of Digital Style
