The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony was held on September 16th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. For the second time in just a year, the Emmy Awards took place on the red carpet. FX’s sensational historical drama series set in Japan, “Shogun,” won the Outstanding Drama Series award. Meanwhile, “The Bear” was replaced by “Hux” in the Outstanding Comedy Award. “Shogun” won a total of four awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director.
Jeremy Allen White won Best Actor and Best Comedy for Bear, while his co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Liza Colon-Zayas won Best Supporting Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Christopher Stoller won Best Director for a Comedy. Richard Gadd won his first Emmy Award for his screenplay for Baby Reindeer, and then won again for Best Actor in a Limited Series. The Netflix show was also named Outstanding Limited Series.
True Detective star Jodie Foster won the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series.
