“Land before time”

This list had to include movies that give millennials a sense of nostalgia and force a new generation of kids to put down their tablets. In Judy Freudberg, Tony Geis, and Don Bluth’s prehistoric tale, a young brachiosaurus dinosaur is orphaned when his mother is killed while trying to protect him from a deadly predator. The last words his mother left him were instructions on how to get to the Great Valley, a safe haven populated by other dinosaurs like him. Along the way, he and his friend Sera find friendship among the locals.

If there’s one thing you can say about Adam Sandler, it’s that he will give you amusingly random concepts for his movies, but the larger, thoughtful message always hits home.
