AI PCs are transforming the way people interact with technology, introducing smarter, more intuitive solutions that improve daily life. Dell Technologies Inc. is at the forefront of this movement, driving innovations that combine accessibility, productivity and health with cutting-edge design.
This shift comes as both businesses and consumers prioritize simplifying the integration of artificial intelligence into their devices and workflows. According to Savannah Peterson of theCUBE Research, this focus defines Dell’s approach.

Peterson spoke with Dell executives leading the company’s big bet on AI PCs for the CES 2025 event during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. Their discussion looked at Dell’s advances in edge AI, professional productivity solutions, and wellness-focused design, highlighting how AI is reshaping technology. (*Disclosure below.)
Here are three key insights you may have missed from theCUBE’s coverage.
1. Dell powers edge AI with localized and scalable solutions on our AI PCs.
AI is moving from novelty to necessity, with businesses and consumers looking for practical, real-world applications. Sam Bird, president of Dell’s Client Solutions Group, said Dell is responding to this call with a bold vision for edge AI, building advanced models into its hardware to deliver intelligence where it matters most to users. It is said to bring you closer.
“We’ve been all about AI. We’re building it into our devices,” Bird told theCUBE during the event. “For our commercial customers, the most exciting thing for me is that they will be able to take data generated at the edge on their devices and run AI models on those devices.”
According to John Segal, Dell’s senior vice president of portfolio marketing, this vision includes innovations such as neural processing units that provide energy-efficient performance for tasks such as real-time translation and creative workflows. These advances are part of a broader strategy to redefine personal computing through localized AI capabilities.
“What does the Edge need?” Segal said during the event. “You need a device to run it, and that’s where our AI PC comes in,” Segal says. “We made a number of announcements about having a complete portfolio of AI PCs for our customers.”
According to Marc Hammons, senior distinguished engineer at Dell Technologies, Dell also aims to simplify AI deployment with Pro AI Studio, which provides developers with curated resources and offline capabilities. The platform alleviates bottlenecks, accelerates timelines, and ensures enterprises continue to have access to localized AI across a variety of use cases.
“Maybe you’re trying to do super resolution. Maybe you’re doing image search,” Hammonds said during the event. “We dig around and poke around and build those things and make them available as part of Dell Pro AI Studio.”

2. Dell simplifies enterprise AI deployment with AI PC professional-grade solutions.
For businesses dealing with the complexities of AI, Dell offers professional-grade solutions that simplify workflows and maximize productivity. Kevin Terwilliger, vice president and general manager of commercial, consumer, and gaming PCs at Dell, said Dell is helping organizations realize the full potential of AI through intuitive tools and specialized hardware. We will support you.
“We actually developed Dell Pro AI Studio specifically to help companies find the right model and train that model regardless of different silicon choices. It can also be incorporated into enterprise applications,” Terwilliger told theCUBE. event. “At Dell, we know a lot about updating devices, drivers, BIOS (etc.), so we’re leveraging that learning to help IT organizations do just that with these models that target specific use cases. I took advantage of everything.”
Dell’s streamlined branding strategy further improves the user experience and simplifies the process of finding solutions for specific professional needs, Terwilliger said. By categorizing its products into Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max, the company ensures that its products address a variety of use cases, from everyday tasks to high-performance demands.
“These simple categories are Dell. Dell is a very well-known brand for play, school and work, and their use cases are very diverse,” Terwilliger said. “Then we’ll add the name Pro specifically to stand for pro-grade, so people who have use cases for maximum performance know where to go with Dell Pro Max.”
On the hardware side, Dell AI PCs are built to last and have advanced features to meet the needs of creators, engineers, and educators. According to Tom Tobul, vice president of commercial notebooks at Dell Technologies, these devices are designed to improve efficiency for a variety of tasks, from video editing to email transcription.
“What we currently do on PCs, we can do faster with AI PCs and get better results than we can today,” he told theCUBE during the event. “The end result is a device that is durable and lightweight enough to take anywhere.”

3. Dell redefines the user experience with health-focused innovation and durable design.
Dell is evolving the way people interact with technology by prioritizing comfort, health, and practicality in design. According to Mike Turner, monitor product manager at Dell, this focus addresses the growing demand for technology that improves productivity and meets modern well-being needs.
“The health benefit is that less harmful blue light, about 440 nanometers, entering the eye tells the brain to ‘stay alert and stay awake,'” Turner said during the event. Ta. “If you’re working on something at night and you lay down and try to go to sleep, your brain becomes very stimulated.”
This focus on health is exemplified by Dell’s UltraSharp monitor, which is the first 4K display to earn a 5-star eye comfort certification, according to the company. Using advanced IPS Black QD-OLED panel technology, these monitors improve contrast ratio and reduce exposure to harmful blue light, helping users stay focused for long periods of time without strain. Turner said.
“I know that sounds a little crazy, but it’s actually really, really great to be able to use technology without exhausting yourself,” he says.
Dell extends its user-centric approach to AI PCs, blending professional-grade performance with portability and durability. According to Toble, extensive user feedback drives these designs and ensures they meet the demands of professionals on the go.
“We… spend a lot of time with our users,” Toble said. “[We ask]’Tell me how you use your device when you travel.'” This allows us to build test cases based on how we know users use their devices day in and day out. You will be able to do it. ”
