GREENVILLE — It’s December. And December is all about holiday music, right?
Yeah, but not that fast.
Of course, the Nutcracker, John Legend’s Grammy-winning Christmas album, and Santa Rave are coming to Greenville. But there will also be a tribute show to Tool and Broadway star Christy Altomare.

What: Hear favorite holiday classics like “Jingle Bell Rock” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” performed by the 54-year-old Toronto Brass Quintet, considered “one of the most popular brass ensembles in the world.” Please listen. Oh, and expect lots of jokes and, of course, “Die Hard” songs.

What: Dubbed a “mainstay of indie rock,” this Durham-based band has released songs like “No Children,” “This Year,” and “Jenny” since their lo-fi records in the early 1990s. They’re led by the masterful Frontman John Darnielle is known for his songwriting and was once described as “America’s best non-hip-hop lyricist.”

tool tribute
What: Do you like the music of alternative rock band Tool? This is the tribute concert for you. It will pay homage to the Grammy Award-winning group whose popular albums include “10,000 Days” and “Fear Inoculum.” Third Eye, a Raleigh-based tribute band, will perform songs from Tool’s 34-year career “with the live energy of Tool’s early club shows.”

Goodbye June
What: Southern rock fans flock to Radio Room for Goodbye June, a Nashville jamming band best known for the songs “Oh No” and “Step Aside.” He recently released a new album, “Deep in the Trouble.” You may have heard it on the Madden 17 soundtrack or even on ESPN’s College Gameday.

Kylie Odetta
What: Hear Greenville-based indie pop artist Kylie Odetta perform at a Cozy Christmas Concert at West Greenville coffee shop Village Grind. Odetta’s song “Under the Sun,” which has been streamed nearly 2.5 million times on Spotify, will be performed with fellow Greenville musicians Stephen Galloway and Joey Noyes.

trans siberian orchestra
Contents: Have you ever looked up photos of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra? Do it now. Their shows are crazy spectacles with flashing lights, rising stages, and sometimes even fire everywhere.
