In his speech, Modi said that spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda, founder of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, was of the opinion that youth participation is crucial for the development of the country. said.
“Just like in technology and other fields, we need our young people to lead this country in the field of politics, because we cannot leave politics to those who only believe in dynastic politics. “We cannot hand over politics to those who consider it a family property,” the prime minister said. “That is why we are making a fresh start. On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, we are organizing a Young Leaders Dialogue in Delhi. 2,000 selected people While billions of young people will attend in person, billions of young people will participate in this event with the help of technology,” PM Modi said.
He said that at the event, young people will discuss India’s determination to transform the country into a developed country, adding that a roadmap will be drawn up on how to increase youth participation in politics. .
“We are determined to bring close to 100,000 talented and energetic young people into politics. These young people will be the future of the country and the new face of Indian politics. The country is moving towards realizing Swami Vivekananda’s dream,” the Prime Minister asserted.
The Chief Minister told the gathering that Gujarat played an important role in Swami Vivekananda’s life as he stayed at several places in the state during his spiritual journey.
He added that the Gujarat government is currently preparing a roadmap to develop a tourist circuit connecting all places associated with Swami Vivekananda.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister praised Ramakrishna Mathematics for helping the people of Gujarat during natural disasters such as the Morbi dam burst in 1979, the 2001 earthquake and the devastating floods in Surat in 2006.
A chapel, a ‘sadu niwas’ and a canteen were inaugurated during this event. Swami Gautamanand, president of Ramakrishna Mission, inaugurated the newly constructed facility at Lekamba.
