The Xiaomi Pad 7 is the latest midrange tablet available for Android on the market and does its best to check the platform.

The new Pad 7 tablet comes with premium features that cost over 10,000 people.

The new Pad 7 tablet comes with premium features that cost over 10,000 people.

The Android tablet market is no longer a pushover, despite Google doing its best to make Android friendly with the form factor. Brands like Xiaomi are making serious efforts to change that trend, and the Xiaomi Pad series clearly shows its motivation.

The PAD 7 model, released in the market, appears to have recently brought some ultra-premium features to the midrange bracket. There is also some clever OS customization to encourage Android on your tablet. Can the Xiaomi Pad 7 get the right blend of hardware and software and make it a clear daily muncher?

display

Xiaomi has chosen the 11.2-inch LCD panel for the Pad 7 screen. This naturally confuses you, but the real experience offers a clearer image of its quality as it gets it at a 144Hz refresh rate that smooths out the performance.

The edge bezel size was slimmer than you would expect from a tablet in this range. The screen resolution gives sharp and punchy colors, and even for readability you will find more than enough. Watch videos and movies and you’ll find 11.2 displays that prove a capable entertainer. Also, the Nano Texture Display Variant promises a better viewing experience, but we couldn’t give it a try.

looks

Pad 7 weighs about 500 grams, which isn’t too heavy, but with the addition of a focus keyboard the tablet is quite bulky.

The design language is similar to Pad 6, with a square camera module on the back, and the clean lines with metal finish give it that premium touch.

The power button and volume rocker are close to each other, and the quad speakers on both sides use Dolby branding. There’s nothing normal about the design of the Pad 7, but that’s fine.

I’ll do my work

Xiaomi is powered by the tablet with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. With this hardware, brands can increase the OS cycle of their devices, and even reveal performance levels via benchmark testing and actual daily usage.

The tablet can easily handle regular tasks, some casual games. It can also be used as a working device for a short period of time. Can I change my laptop for a long period of time? This is still stretchy for Android in this form factor, but Xiaomi is definitely heading in the right direction.

PAD 7 is out of the box with the Android 15-based Hyperos 2.0 version. This is really good to look at from the brand, so you get a two-year OS upgrade. As the previous promises didn’t work out, we still prefer to see Xiaomi fulfill that promise rather than talking about it. The software has some clever features for tablets and I liked how it performed when it went through the pace.

The brand integrates other products to form an ecosystem, allowing access to Xiaomi phones on the larger screen, reflecting what Phone Link Support and OnePlus offers across the product. Xiaomi also allows you to use your tablet as an external display for your laptop.

It will last for a long time

The PAD 7 is packed with an 8,850mAh battery that is sufficient to run a Coast for several days without the need to connect the tablet to a charger.

The battery makes it easy to use after using the tablet for more than a day. It also increases even higher if the level is medium, including watching movies, browsing the web, etc. The battery supports a charging speed of 45W, which is convenient and runs within 2 hours.

So let’s talk about accessories that can be paired with the Xiaomi Pad 7 by paying an extra fee. The focus keyboard has a nice touch with the good travel provided by the keys, but the trackpad is slightly overwhelmed and I want to get a little bigger.

Focus pens are very suitable for that task, and you can use a stylus to make doodles on the pads to take notes and draw them. The only drawback of the keyboard is that it loses the tablet’s portability coefficient using pad 7, and an additional 500 grams can be easily displayed on Heft.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 has a crisp display, reliable performance and a long battery life. This design is functional, looks premium and should be suitable for handling daily rigour for several years. The PAD 7 misses 4G/5G support, but even without it, this is a reliable portable device worth the price.
