Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have worked hard for years both inside and outside of WWE to earn their positions near the top of WWE’s talent hierarchy and all the benefits that come with it. Speaking on the Jason Calipa Podcast, Rollins explained why he and Lynch decided to have their own tour bus for transportation.
“When I first got into WWE, having a bus was a status symbol at the time because it was expensive,” Rollins said. “If you’re a high-income earner, you can afford to travel like that. If you’re aiming for longevity, it’s night and day.”
Rollins explained that WWE stars often appear on Friday night’s “WWE SmackDown” or Monday night’s “WWE Raw,” and must appear at live events on the weekends. For all of these shows, wrestlers are responsible for booking their own travel and lodging, often having to drive themselves from city to city late at night or early in the morning.
In late 2019, Rollins and Lynch were in a long-term relationship and felt comfortable with enough income to invest in a tour bus for traveling. The COVID-19 pandemic kept the couple from making good use of their bus ride for over a year, but everything worked out in the end as they decided to have a baby while on vacation.
Lynch made the decision to return to wrestling shortly after giving birth, and Rollins explained that her daughter Lou soon joined her on the journey. The WWE star said they were very lucky that the couple already had their tour bus ready and ready to go.
“We were so lucky to be able to get (a bus) and be able to take her everywhere and experience her childhood,” Rollins continued.
