According to Wrestlenomics, this week’s (December 23) episode of WWE Raw averaged 1.45 million viewers and a 0.42 rating among 18-49s. This puts it on par with Raw’s lowest ratings this year in the key demo.
What happened here is briefly explained. Viewers for most TV shows (including Monday night NFL games) appeared to be down due to the upcoming long weekend. That’s part of the reason why WWE’s relatively low numbers are enough to trump all of the cable broadcasts that have nothing to do with the NFL.
This was the first recorded holiday episode of Lowe where Santa Claus didn’t perform a Christmas miracle in the ratings, but that doesn’t really matter. Raw returns to live airing next week (December 30) on USA Network for the show’s farewell episode.
Here’s a summary of Raw viewership and demo ratings over the past year.
