President-elect Donald Trump has named Fox News anchor and political analyst Tammy Bruce as spokesperson for the U.S. State Department. The announcement was made by President Trump on Truth Social, praising Bruce’s long-standing conservative credentials and media experience.
“It is my great honor to announce that Tammy Bruce will join Marco Rubio’s nomination for Secretary of State as State Department spokesperson,” President Trump said.
He highlighted Bruce’s transition from a liberal activist in the 1990s to a prominent conservative voice in American media, and said she understood the importance of the MAGA movement early on.
Trump said she has “spent more than 20 years telling the American people the truth,” and she is expected to carry that same belief in her new role.
Her appointment as State Department spokesperson puts her at the forefront of the Trump administration’s foreign policy communications.
