Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said his country’s goal is to start using flying cars in 2027.
He said he had discussed the matter with Archer representatives on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
Vučić told Serbian media that Archer is “one of the most famous companies working with flying cars, unmanned aerial vehicles and flying trains.”
“We have started negotiations for the purchase of at least three aircraft, and we are also talking with our friends in China, who have already made many developments and have flying cars in several cities. In 2027. “We want to quickly complete all preparation and regulatory work by mid-2026 so that we can drive flying cars,” Vučić said.
He said that at the international specialized exhibition Expo 2027, organized by Serbia, he wants to show that it is “the fastest modernizing and fastest growing country in Europe”.
“We have already signed a memorandum of understanding with Archer and an agreement for Expo 2027. There really is no such thing and it is much safer than a helicopter,” Vučić added.
On the occasion of President Donald Trump’s inauguration today (although he did not attend the inauguration), Mr. Vučić spoke about three things that will characterize his reign: to save as much money as possible for his projects; He said it was a fight against the U.S. “deep state.” It seeks to reduce trade deficits with Canada, the EU and China, and stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“Mr. Trump correctly understands that for the next 20 years, energy will be what powers the world, and there will be a lot of problems. “Will we manage to catch up with the pace imposed by the US and China? It will be very difficult,” Vučić said.
Vučić said the United States has the largest trade deficit with Canada, followed by the European Union and China.
“He’s going to have to do some kind of deal with China and I think he’s going to try to minimize the importance of the European Commission and the European institutions. I can’t say I’m happy about that. And… “We will look at ways to establish relations with EU member states, thereby demonstrating the strength of the United States and reducing the budget deficit,” Vučić said.
He pointed out that President Trump “thinks about things rationally and logically,” and questioned why he would defend the EU militarily, even though the EU benefits enormously from trade with the United States. questioned.
“I won’t bet on whether it’s good for us or not,” Vučić added, Klix.ba writes.
