Paris played host to an ultra-glamorous collision of fashion and sport on Sunday as Vogue held its latest branding event in the heart of Paris ahead of the Olympics.
With magazine sales plummeting, the fashion bible is turning to star-studded events to keep its name alive.
Vogue World: Paris follows similar events in New York and London, and was timed to coincide with the height of Fashion Week and International Olympic Day.
The idea, which took over the Place Vendôme in the city center, is to showcase different sports and fashions from each decade of the past 100 years since 1924, when Paris last hosted the Olympics, from gymnastics to breakdancing to fencing. It was about matching.
