Legendary singer Usha Ushaap, known for her iconic voice and vibrant personality, is making waves with her unique Kanjeevaram sneakers. In a new video for Red FM, Yusup talks about how he transitioned from stilettos to sneakers, focusing on comfort without sacrificing style.
For years, Uthup has paired sarees with high heels for a classic yet demanding look. However, the discomfort caused by wearing high heels began to become a problem. During a casual conversation, my daughter suggested an idea that would change my approach to fashion. It is a sneaker made from Kanjeevaram saree.
In the now viral video, Woosup proudly flaunts three pairs of her stunning Kanjeevaram sneakers. “I come from a very middle-class family and for us fashion is about consistency, constancy and above all comfort,” she said.
Uthup revealed that two shoemakers made the sneakers for her using Kanjeevaram saris. “Just giving them a Kanjeevaram sari and sneakers creates magic,” she said, noting that she introduced the project to the President of India and asked him to help the Indian shoe store.

With over 5,26,000 views, Uthup’s Kanjeevaram shoes have impressed multiple users. “Amazing, I want this,” the user wrote. “Your fashion and styling is classy and otherworldly. You are so elegant and the way you carry yourself sets you apart. I love you ma’am,” another user commented.
