The State Department’s procurement forecast removed a mention of Elon Musk’s Tesla Inc. in connection with the planned $400 million armored EV purchase after the report was published Wednesday.

The December edition of the document included a “Armorned Tesla” budget item, which will begin in 2025 for five years, but the document was revised to remove the name of Tesla. This followed the company’s Monica’s report on the procurement documents for Drop Site News and The New York Times.

As a government spending oversight, Mask’s unprecedented role in US President Donald Trump’s administration has been repeated about how he might police himself when one of his companies competes for official contracts I raised a question. He argues that all activities based on the efficiency of the government ministry will be handled with transparency.

Tesla’s name appeared in BMW AG documents. The BMWAG armored X5 and X7 SUVs are also planned to be purchased. The German company’s name remains on the list, but Tesla’s name has been removed and it is currently in the planning stages of a $400 million contract.

State Department representatives, Tesla and Musks did not respond to requests for comment after normal business hours.

Sensitivity to potential conflicts of interest with the overlapping empire of masks six companies may continue. His SpaceX, which launches rockets for US military and Ferries astronauts with NASA’s International Space Station, has already been awarded a multi-billion dollar contract.

In this case, the large government order, the most likely Tesla cybertruck, would be a big boost. CyberTruck is being built at a Tesla plant in Austin, Texas, and costs $79,990 before tax benefits. Musk is a huge fan of military history and spoke in August at the US military academy in West Point, New York. Some imagine that cybertrucks might one day roam the surface of Mars, but masks regularly hint at its military applications.

“I just wanted to create a futuristic battle tank, which looked like it came out of Blade Runners, Aliens and more,” Musk said on the 2020 Auto News podcast.
