Nirmala Sitharaman Finance has announced the union budget in 2025 and has announced the 18th Cabinet plan to provide funds to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in various fields. All assignments to all schemes related to AI have increased significantly since the previous union budget.

The Minister of Finance stated that in the eighth budget presentation speech, the government will establish a new Excellence Center (COE) in the AI ​​in the educational sector and provide a 500 -crawl capital spending. This is added to the three previously approved centers.

Table 1 shows budget allocation to various AI -related schemes from FY23 to FY26. Some schemes are particularly focusing on the advancement of AI, but other schemes are more widespread, including AI as one component. £ Crore value.

The maximum number of assignments was sent to the INDIAI mission, which was launched under the Ministry of Electronics Information Technology in April 2024. We aim to bring AI to important economic sectors such as agriculture and healthcare. Under the mission, the government has allowed emerging companies and researchers to access the graphic processing unit (GPU), which hopes to build homemade AI models.

The Ministry of Finance allocated 2,000 crawls to the mission in FY2016. This has increased by 1056 % from the revised estimation of the 2024-25 budget. 173 crawls are assigned.

AI’s outstanding center aims to explore the opportunity for governance AI applications. The center is assigned 200 crawls, increasing by 82 % to the 2024-25 revised estimated 110 crawls.

This scheme has recently been conducted to conduct interdisciplinary research and develop cutting -edge applications and scalable problem solutions in agriculture and health. And a sustainable city with a vision of “making Al in India” and has a field of view to work for India.

Another program, which is part of the scheme, has a national mission and research for interdisciplinary cyber physical systems (NM-ICPS) that identifies the technical needs of various ministries and agencies, and IT/ELECTRONICS/ Includes CCBT R and D. Development initiative.

The Ministry of Finance has allocated a total of 4,349.75 crawls on the FY26 consecutive budget, directly or indirectly involved in AI.
