Udupi: Satya Nadella praises MAHE for AI implementation, boosts biomedical research

Udupi, January 22: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a pioneer in technology-driven research and education, participated in the Microsoft AI Tour 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. MAHE was represented at the event by Dr. Raviraja NS, COO of Operations, and Sathish Kamith, Deputy Director of IT, who had the opportunity to interact with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

At the event, the MAHE team highlighted the university’s adoption of advanced Microsoft technologies such as D365, Azure HPC, GitHub Copilot, and M365 Copilot. These AI-powered tools are being leveraged at MAHE to enhance operational excellence, accelerate research, and transform education. The team also shared MAHE’s vision to become a global leader in higher education and research, working with Microsoft to position India as the world capital of AI talent.

Lt. Gen. MD Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, MAHE, Manipal, expressed his enthusiasm for this recognition in his keynote address. “MAHE’s commitment to harnessing the power of AI to drive innovation in education and research is unwavering. Through this collaboration with Microsoft, we are providing students, faculty, and researchers with access to improved learning outcomes and technological breakthroughs. Our determination to develop AI applications in biomedical and biotechnology research and contribute to global scientific discovery is expressed by Satya Nadella. It was further strengthened by the evaluation,” he said.

Dr. Raviraja NS, COO of MAHE Operations at Manipal, also commented on the university’s AI initiatives: “AI is reshaping education and research at an unprecedented pace. MAHE is a future-ready company that enables researchers and students to explore the uncharted frontiers of science and technology through AI-driven solutions from Microsoft. We are building a learning ecosystem.”

MAHE reaffirms its commitment to innovation, industry collaboration, and global leadership in AI talent development and remains at the forefront of AI-driven education and research.
