The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe weather warning and travel advisory for Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in several districts of the state, including Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur. Yellow and orange warnings have been issued, indicating a high risk of flooding and landslides.

The weather is expected to worsen further and the IMD has issued a travel advisory for Tamil Nadu. While other southern states such as Kerala and Karnataka are also experiencing rain, showers are expected in Tamil Nadu throughout the week. Travelers are advised to postpone their next trip to avoid getting caught in bad weather or flooding.
