2025 looks like it’s going to be a big year for Apple. The company has plans to improve the iPhone, push further smart home products and improve Apple Intelligence. There are plenty of new products rumored for 2025, including a new iPhone, M4 Mac, and smart home command center.

Here are the top 5 Apple products that will have the biggest impact in 2025.

iPhone17 “Air”

A new ultra-thin “iPhone” is planned for 2025, and while we don’t know what Apple will call it, rumors are calling it the iPhone 17 Air. It’s a fitting name, as it’s not as powerful or expensive as the Pro model, but it does cost more than the standard iPhone 17.

According to rumors, the iPhone 17 Air will be around 6mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone ever. For reference, Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro is 8.25 mm thick, so a 2 mm difference should be plenty.

The new iPhone is rumored to have a 6.6-inch display, making it between the size of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Due to space constraints, it only has a 48-megapixel single-lens camera and will be one of the first devices to be equipped with Apple’s new 5G modem.

You can still get the regular iPhone 17, but there will be no iPhone 17 Plus this year. Apple will also sell the iPhone 17‌ Air along with the iPhone 17‌ Pro and Pro Max models, and rumors suggest that these models will also have some design changes. . For now, it looks like the back panel will be a half-aluminum, half-glass design, which could make it more durable, and the camera setup could also be redesigned.

All four iPhones in 2025 will feature the A19 chip, and ProMotion 120Hz display technology will no longer be limited to Pro models.

You can read more about the features rumored for the iPhone 17 lineup in our iPhone 17 roundup.

AirPods Pro 3

Apple will refresh AirPods 4 in 2024 and update AirPods Pro in 2025. Apple is rumored to be updating the design, but it’s still unclear what the earphones will look like. The AirPods 4 case has been slimmed down, so we might see that on the AirPods Pro 3 as well.

Both sound quality and active noise cancellation are expected to improve, mainly due to Apple announcing its next-generation H-series chips. Apple hasn’t introduced a new audio chip in a while, so we’re excited to see what the update brings.

There have been rumors that heart rate tracking and temperature monitoring will be included in the AirPods Pro at some point, so that’s a possibility. Check out our guide to learn more about AirPods Pro 3.

apple command center

Apple plans to introduce a small, square home “command center” device that will be used to control smart home devices, make FaceTime calls, watch videos and more. Basically, it looks like it will be Apple’s version of the Echo Show.

The 6-inch device is large enough to carry from room to room and can be used on a tabletop or mounted on a wall. Hopefully it will become affordable enough to have multiple devices in different rooms, streamlining the growing number of smart home products many of us have in our homes.

Command Center will include standard Apple apps such as Home, Calendar, Apple Music, Apple News, and Apple Photos, but Apple hasn’t created its own App Store. It can be used for video calls and has deep integration with Apple Intelligence.

iPhoneSE4

Apple is finally ready to refresh its low-cost iPhone, and the iPhone SE 4 is set to receive a number of improvements that could make it an incredible value.

Small screen sizes and Touch ID are a thing of the past, with the iPhone SE featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display and Face ID. In fact, rumors say it is modeled after the iPhone 14. It will be equipped with a 48-megapixel single-lens rear camera, a notch for Face ID, and a USB-C port for charging.

A larger screen size, OLED display technology, “Face ID” and a higher megapixel camera are all new additions to the SE lineup. The device is expected to be the first to feature Apple’s in-house 5G modem, and is rumored to include the same A18 chip found in the current iPhone 16.

The A18 chip supports Apple Intelligence, so iPhone SE comes with Genmoji, Image Playground, Writing Tools, smarter Siri, and more, plus 8GB of RAM. Since it is the minimum value, memory is also greatly enhanced.

At launch, the iPhone SE’s performance will be on par with the iPhone 16, which is impressive for a low-cost iPhone. There is no information that Apple plans to raise prices, but the iPhone SE is still expected to cost less than $500.

Siri improvements

With the spring updates for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, Apple is adding new features to Siri, including on-screen recognition, personal context, and the ability to take more actions within and across apps. We are planning to add more features.

On-screen recognition allows Siri to see and understand what you see on your display, so it can reference it in voice requests. For example, if you’re looking at a photo and want to send it to your friend Eric, you can say “Send this to Eric,” and ‌Siri‌ will figure out what “this” is.

Personal context allows Siri to do more with your personal data, such as your emails and messages, so it can learn more about you to help you more. Siri knows who you communicate with, how you use your device, and tracks everything you save. With personal context, Siri can do things like search for specific messages, find recent files, find email content such as flight numbers, and tell you when the photo you’re looking for was taken. You can.

Siri’s ability to do more within and across apps greatly improves its capabilities. You’ll be able to move files from one app to another, edit photos with voice commands, and complete multi-step, multi-app processes that Siri can’t currently handle.

With iOS 19, released in June, Apple will introduce LLM ‌Siri‌, a version of ‌Siri‌ that is trained on a large-scale language model. LLM training makes “Siri” like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, allowing it to understand and produce human-like natural language, perform complex tasks, and solve problems. “iOS 18” adds useful new “Siri” functions, but the real evolution of “Siri” will occur with updates after iOS 19.
