Three Punjab companies make it to the latest Fortune 500 India rankings

Three companies from Punjab, Hoshiarpur-based International Tractors Ltd., Ludhiana-based Vardhman Textiles and Trident Group, made it to the latest Fortune 500 India ranking.

Fortune 500 India is a ranking of India’s top 500 companies based on the latest sales and total revenue figures.

International Tractors Ltd, the manufacturer of Sonalika tractors, secured the 237th position with a total revenue of Rs 10,341 crore.

Founded in 1996, it is the third largest tractor manufacturer in Japan. We manufacture customized tractors and implements that are regionally developed and tailored to farmers’ application-centric requirements. We offer a wide range of products from 20 horsepower to 120 horsepower, with heavy duty mileage (HDM) and CRDS engines, multi-speed transmissions, and advanced hydraulics.

“Being recognized as one of the Fortune 500 largest companies in India is a very proud moment for us. This achievement is a testament to our organization’s continuous dedication and teamwork,” ITL Group Vice Chairman AS Mittal said.

Meanwhile, Ludhiana-based Vardhman Textiles secured 251st position from 212th position in 2023. With total revenues of Rs 9,777 crore, Vardhman is India’s largest vertically integrated textile manufacturer. The company produces 2,40,000 tonnes of yarn and 220,000,000 meters of textiles annually and provides direct employment to over 30,000 people.

Similarly, Trident Limited made a notable leap forward in the latest rankings, moving up eight places to secure 321st place from 329th place last year. This highlights Trident’s strong performance in diverse sectors including textiles, paper and energy.

Additionally, Trident has been named to the Dun & Bradstreet – D&B Top 500 Value Creators list.

Meanwhile, oil to telecom to retail conglomerate Reliance Industries continued to hold the number one spot with a staggering revenue of Rs 9,22,391 crore, followed by state-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (86 7,950 million rupees). ) and Indian Oil Corporation (Rs 7,850.9 billion).
