The world’s tallest and shortest women gather in London for Guinness World Records Day

The world’s tallest and shortest people rarely pass each other, but it’s always a wonderful moment when they do. On November 13, 2024, the official Guinness World Records Day, the world’s tallest and shortest women met for afternoon tea in London for an emotional moment.

According to GWR, Jyoti Amge and Rumeisa Gherji (the shortest and tallest women, respectively) celebrated their first meeting with a sumptuous afternoon tea at the Savoy Hotel in central London. The two women, who embody some of Guinness World Records’ most beloved and iconic titles, were looking forward to spending a luxurious “girl’s day out” together. We spent a relaxing morning socializing over delicious tea and pastries.

Rumaitha is known worldwide as the tallest woman at 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.7 in), while Jyoti is the shortest woman at 62.8 cm (2 ft 0.7 in) (Mobile) For over 10 years we have been proud to be in).
