According to the report, the exact reason for the cancellation remains unknown, but one of the possible explanations is that India focuses on aviation progress. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has progressed with a high-level moderate fighter (AMCA) program, and recent approval of upgrading the SU-30MKI fleet tends to pursue the acquisition of new aircraft in the near future.
