Judgment Jose Luis Mnula appeared to have explained to Luka Modric why Real Madrid sent Jude Bellingham 1-1 against Osasuna on Saturday, February 15th.
According to Madrid Xtra from X (via Movistar Futbol), Judge Jose Luis Munuera explained why he sent Bellingham to Luka Modric. He claimed he gave the Los Blancos midfielder a march order seeking dissent.
“He told me ‘f*ck you’,” Munula told Modrik.
However, the veteran midfielder defended his teammates and responded to the referee.
“No! No! He didn’t say anything! He didn’t say anything.”
Kylian Mbappe gave Real Madrid the lead 15 minutes after assisting Federico Valverde. Jude Bellingham was sent off before halftime, forcing Carlo Ancelotti’s side to play the rest of the game with ten men.
Osasuna drew the level in the 58th minute via a spot kick from Anti Bodymeal after a foul on the 18-yard box. Both sides were unable to find the net again as they shared loot at Estadio El Sadar.
Bellingham is currently planning to miss out on Real Madrid’s next two league matches against Girona (February 23) and Real Betis (March 2). The Los Blancos will remain at the top of the league standings with 51 points from 24 games.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti responds to Jude Bellingham’s Red Card vs Osasuna
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti responded to Jude Bellingham’s send-off during a clash with Osasuna on Saturday. The Italian manager argued that the judge did not understand Bellingham’s English.
Ancelotti said (via Fabrizio Romano on X):
“I don’t think the judge understood Jude Bellingham’s English. He said f*ck rather than f*ck… that’s not true.”
“I won’t talk more about the referee as I want to be on the bench next week,” he added.
The Real Madrid manager was shown a yellow card in the 21st minute of the game after protesting the referee’s decision. Jude Bergmann’s red card against Osasuna was his second player in Madrid. The British were also left in a 2-2 draw with Valencia in March 2024, with the Los Blancos’ 2-2 draw.
