The Japanese Prime Minister started a four -day trip to Malaysia and Indonesia on Thursday, sitting with the leader to strengthen economic and security with Southeast Asian countries.
Japan regards members of the Southeast Asian Country Association as an important partner to secure the rules -based order in areas where China is increasingly influential.
This trip indicates that the Japanese Prime Minister in October will travel abroad only for the two -country summit.

Indonesia is one of the countries that receives defense equipment relocation from Japan under a program aimed at strengthening security relationships with the same aspirations.
