Snow League, a competitive tour for snowboarders and freeskiers founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, is a partnership between NBC Sports and peacock.
The Snow League, the first professional league dedicated solely to snowboarding and freeskiing, will hold its debut event on March 7th and 8th in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, and will be broadcast live on Peacock.
The first season will feature a total of four events around the world, with further dates and locations to be announced. Everything will be broadcast live on Peacock, with an encore presentation on NBC.
“Throughout the season, all the major events are spread out,” White said on Tuesday’s TODAY. “Like other traditional sports, there is no common thread that ties this sport together, so we bring all of our athletes together and invite them to the best resorts in the world.”
There will be four separate events for the men’s and women’s snowboard halfpipe competitions. Freeskiing is scheduled to debut at the league’s second event in late 2025 and at all future events thereafter.
Athletes accumulate points based on the results of each event and are crowned Snow League World Champion at the end of the season.
With more than $1.5 million in prize money (divided evenly between women and men), she is touted by the league as the richest player in both sports.
The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to 22, 2026.
