'Tell him to get lost...': Elon Musk's father Errol Musk urges UK to ignore son's political comments

In a surprising turn of events, Errol Musk, the father of tech billionaire Elon Musk, has publicly advised the British public to ignore his son’s recent comments about British politics. In an interview with LBC News, Errol Musk expressed his disapproval of Elon’s foray into British political discourse, stressing that his wealth and fame should not give undue weight to his opinions. The controversy revolves around comments made on social media by Elon Musk, who has criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and others over his handling of a sensitive issue involving “Pakistani grooming gangs”. He criticized politicians. The incident sparked widespread debate and drew reactions from political leaders, celebrities, and even Elon’s father himself.

Errol Musk’s take on Elon Musk’s political commentary

Errol Musk made it clear in an interview that he doesn’t believe his son’s comments should receive undue attention. “Don’t listen to him, that’s all. I don’t think you need to worry. Just tell him to get lost,” he said. He went on to downplay the significance of Elon’s remarks, arguing that the billionaire’s opinion doesn’t have the same value as the opinions of countless others expressing similar sentiments online.
“People don’t need to listen to him. I mean, he’s just a guy. The fact that he’s reportedly got money or something, is a billionaire or something, I mean. , hundreds of thousands of people are tweeting and saying the same things as him,” Errol Musk added. His comments reflect broader concerns about the influence of celebrities on public debate.

Elon Musk’s allegations against Keir Starmer

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and former owner of brewed. These gangs, mainly made up of men of South Asian descent, were involved in the systematic sexual abuse of girls in towns in northern England, including Rochdale, Rotherham and Oldham, between 2008 and 2013.
Mr Musk claimed that Mr Starmer, then the UK’s director of public prosecutions, had prioritized political gain over justice for victims. In a series of posts about X, Musk said: “Starmer must go and be charged with complicity in the worst mass crime in British history.” He also argued that a number of individuals in positions of power in the UK should face legal consequences for their alleged involvement in covering up the scandal.
Musk also took aim at Britain’s Security Minister Jess Phillips, labeling her a “rape-genocide advocate” and accusing her of failing to address issues related to child abuse. He called for a new investigation into grooming gangs, even though a multi-year national inquiry into child sexual exploitation ended in 2022.

Keir Starmer’s response

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has firmly rejected Musk’s accusations, calling them baseless and harmful. Mr Starmer did not directly name Mr Musk, but criticized those who spread misinformation, saying: They are interested in themselves. ”
Mr Starmer warned that such rhetoric could have dangerous consequences, including threats and intimidation against public figures. “We have seen this strategy time and time again of inciting intimidation and threats of violence in the hope that the media will amplify it. The venom of the far right has led to serious threats to the likes of Jess Phillips. “When you do that, you’ve crossed the line in my book,” he added.

The world’s reaction to Elon Musk’s comments

Elon Musk’s involvement in British politics has attracted international attention, with reactions ranging from support to criticism. Musk further fueled the controversy by conducting a poll on X asking whether Americans should “liberate” the British from “tyranny.”
French President Emmanuel Macron echoed this sentiment, expressing concern about Musk’s growing interference in European political affairs. Macron’s comments reflect widespread concerns about the influence that high-profile figures like Musk can have on sensitive political issues.
