Telangana CM visits Singapore and Davos to attract investment

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will embark on a visit to Singapore and Davos on January 16 to attract investment to the state.

An official delegation led by the Prime Minister will visit Singapore from January 16 to 19 and Davos from January 20 to 22.

Minister for Industries and Information Technology D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials from the Ministry of Industries will also be part of the delegation.

The delegation will hold talks on skills universities and other investment-related agreements in Singapore before attending the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos.

In a meeting with industry ministers and officials on Monday, officials briefed the prime minister on their plans to attend conferences and meetings they will host with representatives of global industry and investors during their visits to Singapore and Davos.

The Chief Minister said Telangana is emerging as the destination of choice for global investments and attracting leading companies in manufacturing and services sectors to the state.

He said the state government has directed officials to create an investor-friendly ecosystem to attract domestic and foreign investors, promote Hyderabad on global platforms and be ready to attract huge investments. said.

Mr. Revanth Reddy exuded confidence that the state’s industrial policy would attract big investments in the future. He said all the welfare schemes and development programs introduced by the government in the first year had helped strengthen the state’s economy.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the investment received in the first year.

The state signed MoUs with global companies at the World Economic Forum meeting held in Davos last year and received an investment of Rs 40,232 crore.

Fourteen major companies have come forward to invest in the state, and agreements have been signed to undertake 18 projects.

Officials briefed the Prime Minister that around 17 of these projects have already started and 10 are in various stages of rapid progress.

Officials also said seven projects are in early stages.
