Interarch Building Products Limited announced on Sunday that it has acquired two significant projects. The first project involves construction of a semiconductor manufacturing facility for TATA Semiconductor Assembly & Testing Pvt Limited at Jagi Road, Morigaon, Assam. The company has placed orders worth Rs 221 crore in the semiconductor and lithium-ion battery segments with the business.

This initiative is an important part of India’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem and is in line with the government’s vision to strengthen domestic electronics manufacturing.

The second project is for Agratas Energy Storage Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is focused on building India’s largest lithium-ion battery manufacturing unit in Sanand, Gujarat. The facility will support the rapidly growing energy storage market and contribute to India’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions. Notably, this is Interarch’s second order in the lithium-ion battery field, following a previous project with EXIDE ENERGY SOLUTIONS, the company said in a press release.

Tata Projects Limited will act as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor for both the projects.

Mr. Arvind Nanda, Managing Director, Interarch Building Products Ltd, expressed pride in partnering with Tata Projects Limited in these innovative initiatives. “The semiconductor and energy storage sectors are critical to India’s economic and technological future. Our flexible, industry-agnostic infrastructure solutions ensure the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of every project we undertake. “These collaborations further reflect our commitment to driving innovation and growth in new areas of the industry,” he said.

Previous projects of Interarch building products

In early December last year, Interarch Building Products Limited announced a strategic partnership with Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), a leading steel manufacturing company. The partnership aims to redefine India’s urban infrastructure by promoting the use of steel as the preferred material for high-rise buildings, data centers and heavy structures.

In September, Interarch opened the first phase of five state-of-the-art pre-engineered steel (PEB) manufacturing facilities (the fourth fully integrated unit) in Ativaram, Andhra Pradesh. According to the company, the production plant is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is capable of building PEB structures as well as pre-engineered metal roofing and cladding systems.
