Bengaluru will soon get a state-of-the-art facility at the Sports Authority of India’s Netaji Subhash South Center, which aims to improve the performance of athletes through the use of science and technology.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) and SAI to establish ‘HAL-SAI High Performance Centre’.
“The center will have facilities in areas such as anthropometry, biomechanics, exercise biochemistry, nutrition, sports and exercise, physiology, psychology, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, and physical therapy.” HAL stated.
Other initiatives
HAL is also setting up a football academy in Bangalore with FIFA standard football pitches to identify, identify and train young talent. HAL-SAI Sports Training Center was earlier established by the Defense PSU in Koraput, Odisha to train tribal youth in archery, football and track and field under a CSR initiative.
