Russia launched a drone attack on Kiev in the early hours of New Year’s Day, killing two people and two others. Six other people were injured, local authorities said.
The attack on Ukraine’s capital came shortly after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy vowed in his New Year’s address to do everything possible to end the war within the next year.
