Speculating on the rumors surrounding professional wrestling is probably the favorite pastime of many fans, second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumor of the day:
WrestleVotes stated that SmackDown’s Solo Sixcore return segment was “the subject of heated discussion within creative” on the day of the show. He was originally scheduled to open the show to address his loss to Roman Reigns. According to Fightful, AJ Styles was believed to be on the verge of signing with WWE before his injury, and stated that the injury could lead to WWE extending his contract. WrestleVotes reported that WWE was planning to hold a major press event during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans, but Fightful Select said a WWE representative denied that when asked. Ta. They also finally stated that AEW’s Double or Nothing event is not scheduled for Las Vegas this year. Jordynne Grace and Josh Alexander are both done with TNA, PW Insider says. Grace is expected to go to WWE, but Alexander’s contract ends next month and he is considering free agency. According to the Wrestling Observer, Tomohiro Ishii sustained an injury during last week’s match at Collision, but the injury was not serious. In response to a question about Camille’s AEW status on a recent Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp said, “She’s under contract, but since shortly after she ‘quit’ her job at Mercedes, I haven’t heard anything about his on-screen future.” (Monet)” Sapp added that some people at the company wanted to conclude the Camille and Monet story with a match between the two, but that clearly didn’t happen.
