TEHRAN, IRNA – On the final day of the Great Prophet 19 naval exercise, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy launched two artificial intelligence-guided missiles from a combat drone, achieving a direct hit on a simulated enemy target.

The final phase of the exercise, which took place in the southern provinces of Bushehr and Khuzestan on Saturday, included a series of complex military operations, including the launch of Qaem and Almas missiles from Mohajar 6 and Ababil 5 drones.

The exercises began on Friday in the strategic northern and central regions of the Persian Gulf.

On the final day of the war games, the Revolutionary Guard’s naval special forces conducted an amphibious operation that included land-to-sea artillery fire. A surface-to-surface Qadr 200 missile was also launched, and the Kosar 222 defense missile system successfully shot down a hypothetical enemy aircraft.

Speaking on the sidelines of the exercise, Naval Commander Rear Admiral Alireza Tansiri said that the main objective of the exercise was to strengthen coordination within the elite force and enhance combat readiness against potential external threats.

Tansiri added that the exercise conveyed a “message of peace” to neighboring countries, in line with the Revolutionary Guards Navy’s commitment to regional stability.

The training is part of the Grand Prophet’s annual Eghtedar (Force) exercise, the land version of which was recently launched by the Revolutionary Guards and the Army in various parts of Iran, including Kermanshah province in western Iran and Isfahan province in central Iran. It was carried out jointly. .
