The EU will resume monitoring the major border intersections that have been closed to people since May 2024 in the war between Israel and Gaza.

The European Union has resumed private missions to monitor Rapa’s border intersections, as the main transportation points between Gaza and Egypt will resume medical evacuation on Saturdays.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed on Friday that many Palestinians, including injured civilians and Hamas fighters, entered Egypt on Saturdays through the Lafa intersection.

Hamas officials were initially opened for 50 injured fighters and 50 injured civilians, 50 injured civilians escorted them, and more 100 (probably students). He added that it would be allowed for humanitarian reasons.

For the time being, officials said that people would be allowed to travel in one direction from Gaza to Egypt.

“The Palestinians and Israelians have expanded the Rafa intersection today at the intersection of the Rafa at the request of the Palestinians and Israeli,” said Kaja Crow, a foreign policy officer of the European Union.

“We will support Palestinian border staff and allow personal relocation from Gaza, including those who need medical care,” said X.

Egyptian security has confirmed that the members of the EU team have arrived at the facility.

This intersection is currently operated by Palestinian authorities (PA) and European monitors, according to Hamas officials.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that the transport of patients from two hospitals north and south of the fly will be adjusted as a World Health Organization.

RIK PEEPERKORN representatives in Geneva in Geneva on Friday said that about 12,000 to 14,000 patients were waiting for evacuation from Gaza over Rafah Crossing.

Yossi Mekelberg, an analyst of the UK -based think tank chatham house, said to Al Jazeera, “The idea of allowing Hamas Fighters to be treated from Israel is not just a few weeks ago. I agree.

He said, “It’s also symbolic that they allow them to open Rafa as an intersection to reach Egypt. I’m starting.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Egyptians attended a demonstration near the Lafa intersection on Friday and protested to protest to protest the plan to move from territory to Egypt and Jordan. 。

The TV AL-QAHERA News, linked to the state, showed hundreds of protests of the Egyptian and Palestinian flags near the border intersection.

Last week, Trump proposed a plan to “clean out” the Gaza area last week.

Both states have publicly rejected this idea.
