Children of politicians enter politics worldwide: TTV

Coimbatore: AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran on Saturday said that children of politicians entering politics is a common phenomenon across the world. “If the people accepted them through elections, it can’t be wrong,” he asked.
Speaking to reporters here today, he questioned VCK leader Adahu Arjuna’s claim that one can become prime minister just by being born. “In electoral politics, people vote for the party that decides who becomes the prime minister. Even though Udhayanidhi Stalin won the election, why should his entry into politics be criticized? Seniority is important in politics, but , it is not the only criterion for political parties or parties’ management. ”
However, TTV clarified that his statement was not an endorsement of DMK or dynastic politics. “I’m just stating the facts.”
Replying to Mr. Vijay’s comment on DMK’s claim of victory in the upcoming Assembly elections, he said, “It is natural for political parties to claim that they will win all 234 constituencies and there is no arrogance or pride in such statements.” It seems so.”
However, he accused the DMK government of corruption and mishandling the recent flood crisis in the state. “Despite having many senior ministers, this government is anti-people and has failed to fulfill 90% of its election promises. The NDA will highlight these issues in the 2026 assembly elections. Dew.”
