Smartphone maker Poco has announced that it will collaborate with American chipmaker Qualcomm and India’s largest carrier Reliance Jio to launch the Poco C75 5G, which the company calls “India’s most affordable 5G phone.” The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen2 5G chipset with clock speed of up to 2 GHz.

Affordable 5G for everyone
This chipset delivers Gigabit 5G, delivering download speeds of up to 1Gbps, while increasing modem power efficiency by up to 37%. It is claimed to deliver up to 7x higher download throughput and up to 40% lower latency compared to LTE.
“With the launch of Poco C75 5G, we are the first to revolutionize the 5G space,” said Himanshu Tandon, Head, Poco India.

The smartphone supports 5G Standalone (SA) network provided by Reliance Jio. In partnership with Jio, Poco C75 users can enjoy premium access to 10 OTT applications for free for 3 months on Jio 5G plans starting from Rs 349. This includes JioCinema Premium, SonyLiv, and Zee5.

According to the listing on e-commerce portal Flipkart, the phone supports 2G GSM (B3/B5/B8), 3G WCDMA (B1/B5/B8), and 4G LTE FDD (B1/B3/B5/B8/B28). Poco C75 features a 6.88-inch HD+ display that supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is powered by a 5160mAh battery and supports 18W fast wired charging. The smartphone comes with a 50MP Sony camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, TUV certification, dual Wi-Fi bands, and Bluetooth v5.

Price and availability
The latest Poco C series smartphones are IP52 rated. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 14 and comes with 2 years of Android software upgrades and 4 years of security updates. Poco C75 5G is priced at Rs 7,999 (originally Rs 10,999) in a limited time offer for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version. The smartphone will be available for purchase on Flipkart from December 19th.
