“The Purple Runway of Dreams” was a transformative event that challenged social awareness. This Beauty Pageant Cam Fashion Show provided visually impaired participants with the opportunity to showcase their talent, unique style and personality on the lamp
Radio Udaan, an initiative under the Udaan Empowerment Trust, held its 8th Radio Udaan Convention 2025, a two-day event in Panchkula. The competition praised diversity, empowerment and the redefinition of beauty standards. Founded on the mission of empowering visually challenged individuals, Radioudhan offers a platform that promotes inclusion and offers opportunities for growth and self-expression.

Guests at the event included Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babra. Chair of Jatt Bhawan Mohinder Singh Malik. Vice-chairman of PWD Praveen Prakash Ambashta and the state secretary of disabled Madhvi Kataria highlight the growing awareness of the inclusion of disability in the fashion and entertainment industry.
On the first day, we featured the play “Intezaar,” directed and written by national winner Denmark Mahajan. On the second day, we emphasized the “purple runway of dreams.” This is a fashion show where visually impaired participants have confidently redefine the lamp. The event broke stereotypes and barriers, and proved that fashion is about expressing personality, not just clothing.
Includes winners in the slightly visually impaired (female) category. And secondly – aartiman mode. And (male) first – the Buddha llama. And the second – Hitesh Prasad.
Includes winners in the Severe Visually Impaired (Female) category. Second – Kritika Sharma. and (male) first – Devaraj G; and second – Maninder Singh.
The winners of this competition were awarded a valuable prize. £2 larks.
