CNN showed false graphics that disrupt former President Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden in a nasty broadcast error on Friday evening, causing widespread criticism of the network.
The graphic featured President Trump’s proposal to move illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, displaying “Obama bin Laden” during “CNN News Central.”

Anchor Boris Sanchez did not verbalize the error, but misleading texts appeared in the background in a segment of the segment on Al-Qaeda Operation Abuzbaida, which remains detained at the facility.
“Obama bin Laden Associate: Abu Zubida,” graphics were displayed incorrectly.
During the presidency, Obama had pledged to close the controversial facility. Unable to fulfill this promise, he later allowed Trump’s plans to move up to 30,000 criminal immigrants to the location.
The error has prompted a serious social media response. Some viewers suggested that the mistake was intentional.
This incident adds to CNN’s recent difficulties. Networks often criticised by President Trump continue to face a decline in audiences and staff cuts. The previous month, CNN eliminated 200 positions across the organization. Additionally, prominent anti-Trump journalists, including Jim Acosta, have left the network.
