New York Fashion Week officially begins on Friday, September 6th, but the holiday unofficially begins with collection presentations from notable designers such as Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler. Renowned New York design studio Area has the honor of opening the event with its Fall/Winter 2024 Runway Show.
As the week progresses, fashion lovers can expect a mix of established and emerging designers, culminating in a finale by Melitta Baumeister. Baumeister, a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Foundation honoree and Parsons School of Design alumnus, is known for her avant-garde approach and will conclude the six-day fashion extravaganza.

This year, NYFW is moving to a new venue, moving from downtown’s Spring Studios to the Starrett Lehigh Building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.
