New York Fashion Week begins again with New York Men’s Day, but this time with fewer participants.
Agentry PR’s semi-annual Emerging Men’s Brands presentation will be held on February 6th, the first day of the week-long NYFW, and will feature six brands. Previously, the show was held on Fridays and featured 10 to 12 designers. Agentry founder Erin Hawker said the date change also required slimming down the roster.
“Unfortunately, due to space constraints, we are limited to six designers this season,” she said. “As usual, when NYMD moved from Friday to Thursday, additional space was not available to showcase designers. As the date continues to move to Thursday, we will be adding additional designers for September. That’s what I’m planning.”
The presentation will be held again at Location 05 next to Hudson Yards, with three brands on display in the morning with sessions from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and other brands in the time slot from 4:30 to 6 p.m. will be done.
Four of the six brands will be participating in New York Men’s Day for the first time, with A. Potts and Sivan returning. Other brands include Hold NYC, Joseph McRae, Max Esmail, and Peak Lapel.
“We are excited to kick off 2025 and New York Fashion Week with New York Men’s Day on a new date, February 6,” said Hawker. “Bringing you intimate shows of six designers in two different sessions throughout the day, we will introduce four up-and-coming brands to this season’s program, including A. Potts, who has shown at New York Men’s Day in the past; We’re excited to bring Sivan back for several seasons. Our mission has always been to highlight talent and provide an outlet to introduce new voices to our community. With the help of our partners, we hope New York Men’s Day will continue to be a highlight of Fashion Week. ”
NYMD is sponsored by Sperry, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, and will be showcasing the latest version of the CVO sneaker, designed by Paul Sperry in 1935. The event is also sponsored by Oribe Hair Care and Augmented Makeup.
