New Nike boots include compression and heat for post-workout recovery

Nike x Hyperice boots feature compression and warmth for post-workout recovery and were worn by athletes at the 2024 Olympics.

Have you ever wanted to recover from a workout like an Olympic athlete? That’s exactly what this shoe claims to do. This is the Nike Time Piper Rice Shoe, a recovery shoe worn to aid recovery after an intense workout. This means that the shoe incorporates three thermal layers and three compression layers. So Nike and Hyperrise tested this in the wild with Olympic athletes at last year’s Paris Olympics and are working on a consumer version, but it’s unclear when it will be released. Or how much it costs, but the idea behind this shoe is to allow you to actually recover while moving, so you don’t have to wear heat packs, compression socks, etc. to sit and rest. that. The idea is that people can wear shoes that help them recover while going about their daily lives. There are some buttons on the shoe that actually control the compression and heating functions, so I’m going to try that out now. There are some Velcro straps. Due to compression, you should also mention the size of this kind of range. So rather than one size, they’ll probably come in a variety of sizes, such as a men’s 10-12. Now you can wear shoes. OK, we’re going to start with compression, so turn it on. Right now it feels like it’s vibrating, um, almost like a massage. Now I’m starting to feel pressured. It’s getting tighter little by little. I definitely noticed how comfortable this was after a long run or when my feet were really sore. So now I turn on the heat and turn it to the lowest heat level. So, next time I’ll try walking around wearing these. This is its intended purpose: to allow you to move while you recover from your workout. It has a soft feel and is easy to walk on. I could definitely feel the heat, especially from my ankles up to here. That’s where I really appreciate the heat therapy here. But it’s certainly comfortable and has a lot of room. So, after just a few minutes of wearing the Nike Time Hyperized Shoes, you can clearly feel the heating and compression features. Although very noticeable, it’s very hard to know how effective and how useful this is unless you spend more time with it or wear it afterwards. Although intended for real-world, long, intense training, it’s actually part of a growing line of wearable devices aimed not just at monitoring performance, but also for recovery and injury prevention. Once again, this is the Nikex Hyperrise shoe here at CES. Thank you for watching, and see you next time.
