Naomi Osaka praised Nike’s “cutest” gesture for her Grand Slam outfit and her 1-year-old daughter, Shai. Known for her iconic on-court fashion, Osaka is known for her style brought to life by the quality and creativity of Nike.
Osaka revealed on social media platform Threads that her kit sponsor Nike had created a mini version of her Grand Slam outfit for her one-year-old daughter, Shai. The 27-year-old called it “the cutest thing.”
“Nike made me a shy mini version of my grand slam outfit and it’s the cutest thing ever ✔️❤️,” Osaka wrote in the thread.
Osaka recently posted an image of herself and her daughter Shai on Instagram on a merry-go-round. The toddler’s appearance on social media was an unusual one, as the Japanese tennis star and her boyfriend, Cordae, preferred not to upload images of her. She captioned the post:
“2024 wraps, but it’s a picture of me and the cutest girl in the world.”
Naomi Osaka’s boyfriend Korde sends a powerful message to parents to protect their children amid rising cyber threats

Naomi Osaka’s boyfriend, rapper Cordae, recently shared a powerful message on social media, imploring parents to protect their children from the dangers posed by the rise in cybercrime and advancements in AI.
The couple, who welcomed daughter Shai in July 2023, have been together since 2019 and have maintained a strong relationship despite past rumors. Osaka and Cordae, who have a combined Instagram following of more than 5 million people, have decided to keep images of their daughter private. Cordae emphasized:
“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but social media is not a real place. Just because you can’t see something happening here doesn’t mean it’s not happening in real life. “I don’t mean people show you what they want you to see. It’s a stage,” he wrote.
“Don’t put all your information online, especially if you have a lot of followers. Don’t post about your family, especially your children, without using good judgment. Cybersecurity is worse. Al is only getting better. Stay safe and protect your loved ones.”
The four-time Grand Slam champion is currently competing in the ASB Classic in Auckland, where she got off to a strong start to the 2025 season with two wins.
The Japanese star reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament, defeating Lina Glushko 6-4, 6-4 and Julia Glover 7-5, 6-3. Osaka also praised new coach Patrick Mouratoglou’s guidance for her success in the opening game.
