(Bloomberg) – Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup Xai released its Grok 3 chatbot on Monday, with the billionaire describing it as “the smartest AI on the planet.”

The product will be released in a demonstration at 8pm in the Pacific Ocean, Musk said in a post on X.

Musk teased the planned launch of the Grok 3 chatbot at a video conference at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Thursday, calling it an AI model that surpasses all competing tools released so far I’m here.

The model is trained with synthetic data and can reflect the mistakes it makes by sailing back and forth between data to achieve logical consistency, Musk said.

The launch of Grok 3 comes as the country is in a hurry to introduce more refined and cheaper AI chatbots. Deepseek, a Chinese startup that has stunned the market with a model comparable to Openai’s ChatGpt, is actively hiring experts with a signal of rapidly expanding ambition.

Musk and Sam Altman, who co-founded Openai as a nonprofit in 2015, are also trapped in a long-standing feud over the company’s direction.
