Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella tops the inaugural HSBC Hurun Global Indian List 2024, which recognizes 226 Indian leaders leading the world’s most valuable companies. won the position.

The list was compiled based on a survey of 400 respondents, including prominent wealth creators from a previous Hurun report, which estimated the combined value of the companies led by these leaders to be $10 trillion. I am.

The list shows that 57% of leaders are first-generation entrepreneurs, 41% are professionals, and 2% are successors. Prominent first-generation leaders include Aneel Bhusri of Workday and Prem Watsa of Fairfax Financial Holdings. The youngest entrepreneur on the list is 27-year-old Tanay Tandon, co-founder of health tech company Comure.

Twelve women made the list, led by Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ Reshma Kewalramani, Arista Networks’ Jayshree Ullal and Chanel, who was recognized as the most influential woman of Indian origin. This was followed by Leena Naar, Global CEO of .

The report found that 79% of companies on the list are based in the US, followed by 5% in the UK and 4% in the United Arab Emirates, with Indian-origin leaders holding significant global influence. It emphasizes that it has. San Francisco emerged as a hub, home to 37 leaders, followed by New York and Palo Alto, California.

Indian professionals have a strong presence in the technology sector, with the software and services industry dominating the list with 87 entries. Financial services and healthcare follow with 24 and 21 people, respectively. Notable leaders include Basant Narasimhan of Novartis and Shantanu Narayan of Adobe.
