Humans and swarms of agents work together, with AI agents acting as digital workers and working across multiple systems, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said at a CEO Connect session ahead of the Microsoft AI Tour event in Bengaluru. He said it will improve work efficiency by coordinating tasks.

In a fireside conversation with Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Nadella said that creating AI agents will become as common as creating spreadsheets, allowing individuals to streamline their personal workflows. I said it would be.

He added that the idea of building AI agents is tied to operational leverage and scalability, which will be an important frontier for enterprise AI and consumer use cases.

Nadella emphasized that agent-based systems require tools, memory and infrastructure, moving isolated applications to integrated multi-agent systems, leading to innovative approaches in enterprise processes and customer interactions. .

The conversation also highlighted the importance of balancing the social impact of AI, especially in a populous country like India where new digital tools are being deployed at scale. The speaker called on CEOs to embrace AI-driven change, adapt processes, and leverage AI for operational efficiency and innovation.

They also reflected on AI and the changing paradigm of Moore’s Law in the context of data-rich and AI-driven systems. They emphasized the transition from hardware-driven improvements to a new era of AI richness and scalable applications across industries.

Moore’s Law, traditionally understood to mean transistors would double every 18 to 24 months, may be slowing down, but innovations in AI with neural networks, GPUs, and accelerators are giving models a new Moore’s Law. “The law” was created.

This paradigm shift has shortened product development cycles to six months. They believe that AI is bringing unprecedented abundance, especially in regions like India, where computational resources and scalable AI systems are accessible at scale, combined with population, technological literacy, and government support. He emphasized that it is creating a “virtuous cycle” of innovation and efficiency.

On the business impact and how CEOs must adapt to AI, Nadella looks back at past technology changes and how they have transformed industries, and explains how CEOs should adopt AI. emphasized its importance.

“You have to manage the whole journey and make it efficient,” Nadella said. “We have to change the way we see the world.”
