New Delhi: Lionel Messi has written a message to David Beckham after the latter gifted him a pair of special Adidas Predator boots. Inter Miami’s co-owner has signed a new pair of boots to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the boot, which has links to the Manchester United and England legend’s heritage.
The 37-year-old Argentine revealed on his Instagram Story that he received the pair as a gift from Beckham. Messi shared the photo and wrote, “Already at home!!” Thank you @DavidBeckham. ”
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner had an excellent 2024 season in MLS, scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists in 19 appearances. He also led Inter Miami to their first-ever Supporters’ Shield, helping the team to a league record 74 points.
However, Inter Miami suffered a surprising upset in the playoffs, losing to Atlanta United. The former Barcelona star will next be seen in action when Argentina face Uruguay in March. It remains to be seen whether he will wear the boots given to him by Beckham.
