Louis Vuitton has announced its latest culinary destination, Le Cafe Louis Vuitton.
The new cafe is part of Louis Vuitton’s push to global globe, following successful ventures in cities such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan and Bangkok. The Maison Seoul location combines fine French cuisine with Korean flavours, expanding “an expression of fashion, culture and culinary everyday life” according to the brand.
Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry along with Peter Marino’s interior, Maison Seoul has served as Louis Vuitton’s iconic space since its debut in 2019. The sculpture and fusion of modern and traditional Korean aesthetics has become a landmark in Seoul’s luxury retail industry.
At the helm of Le Café is Louis Vuitton’s chef Yoon Tae-kyung, the latest addition to the Louis Vuitton culinary community. Yoon works in partnership with Michelin 3-star French chef Arnaud Donckele and famous pastry chef Maxime Frederic. Together, they aim to create an innovative menu that blends French techniques with locally inspired ingredients.
Full menu details and reservation information will be released in August before the official release of the cafe.
The cafe is part of Louis Vuitton’s wider culinary community initiative, seeking to discover and nurture culinary talent from around the world while integrating the spirit of the Maison’s design into the dining experience.
