King Charles and Queen Camilla will host actor Stanley Tucci at their formal dinner Friday evening, marking confirmations for the state’s visit to Italy later this year.
The royal couple traveled to Italy in April to meet Pope Francis and Italian leaders, and were engaged in the ancient cities of Rome and Ravenna, confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
It is expected to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the king and queen’s wedding on April 9th.
Announced the Search for Italy, a BBC programme that celebrates Italian food and culture, Tucci will give a speech at an event at the Royals High Globe Estate in Gloucestershire.
Confirmation of the palace’s national visit to Italy suggests that the king is sufficient for his overseas journey as he continues to treat cancer.
Tucci-An Italian-American, who appeared in the Oscar-nominated Vatican thriller Conclave and spoke about his experience with throat cancer, said it had a negative effect on his taste.

The Italian-style night at High Grove will also be attended by British Italian ambassador Inigo Lambertini.
Chef Francesco Matsuzei cooks Italian menus using local ingredients. The cuisine reflects “slow food” style cuisine advocating fresh local cuisine cooked in traditional ways.
Mixologist Alessandro Parazzi has it on hand to make drinks using Italian flavors and herbs grown in High Grove.
The King – a lover of art, culture and religion – is a regular visitor to Italy, and this upcoming trip will be his 18th official visit.
The state’s visit will be on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and there will likely be a meeting with senior government figures from the Italian government – efforts to build relationships with important European partners – details of the itinerary have not been revealed yet yeah.
While there, the king and queen may celebrate 20 years since their wedding in April 2005.
The date of the ceremony had to be changed for the death of Pope John Paul II. Prince Charles of the time traveled to Rome to attend the funeral.
The visit to meet Pope Francis coincides with 2025 being a special “jubilee” year for the Catholic Church, held every 25 years.
According to the palace, the king and queen join the Pope as “pilgrims of hope” for celebration.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visited the Pope in the last year of Jubilee in 2000.
The king previously met Pope Francis, including the Vatican in 2019, when British-born Cardinal John Henry Newman was canoed as a saint.
This is the first time they have met since Charles became the monarch and supreme general governor of the Church of England.
