Jordan FM says, “Palestinians cannot transfer,” Jordan FM says. Israeli-Palestinian conflict news

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi tells Al Jazeera that Jordan is opposed to Trump’s plan to buy Gaza.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said Al Jazeera would not oppose President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians in Gaza to other countries such as Jordan and Egypt. He told Jazeera.

His comments were repeated in a news briefing that after Jordan’s King Abdullah II met Trump at the White House on Tuesday, the latter would take over the US-besieged Gaza Strip. Forced expulsion of people from their hometowns.

“There is a constant, fixed and immovable Jordanian position. Palestinians cannot be transferred to Egypt, Jordan or Arab states,” Safadi said in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“We will work for just peace without the implementation of two state solutions that guarantee the rights of Palestinians, especially the right to freedoms and the rights of independent, sovereign states in their homeland.”

Both Jordan and Egypt refused to accept Palestinians who were forced to evacuate. Palestinian authority, Hamas and the Arab countries are all united in their indomitable opposition to Trump’s plan. China also firmly states that “Gaza belongs to the Palestinians.”

During his meeting with Trump, Abdullah contradicted Trump directly, hinting at an alternative plan instead, revealed by Egypt.

When asked whether Jordan would drive Palestinians out of Gaza, the Jordanian leader said he would do the “best” thing for his country. He added that Jordan will take 2,000 sick Palestinian children with whom he needs treatment.

Jordan currently has over 2 million Palestinian refugees living in a population of 11 million.

Safadi said Arab countries are currently working on developing a plan to rebuild Gaza “without relocating people” and will be presented when ready.

“The US President offered some ideas, and his jealousy underneath presented some ideas,” he said. “We will work with the US president to build Gaza without moving people.”

On Tuesday, Trump once again seemed to dismiss their deep attachment to the land, stressing that Palestinians didn’t want to stay in Gaza.

Critics say his vision for Gaza – redeveloped in a hotel, office, and “Riviera” vibe – appears to have divorced from the politics of the region, and this is not an opportunity for another real estate . The Palestinians have endured for a long time to force them out of the rest of the territory despite decades of continued Israeli occupation and bombing.
