Joerg Eberhart and Lorenza Maggio were today appointed by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) as members of the five-member Board of Directors of ITA Airlines.
Jorg Eberhart (54) has been in charge of strategic development for the Lufthansa Group since 2021 as “Head of Strategy and Organizational Development.” In this role, he had major responsibility for joining ITA Aviation. For the past 26 years, from 2014 to 2021, he was President and CEO of the Italian airline Air Dolomiti, part of the Lufthansa Group. Lorenza Maggio (47) has been Vice President of Sales for Lufthansa Group Airlines EMEA since January 2024. In this role, she was responsible for all commercial and sales activities in Europe (outside the domestic market), the Middle East, and the Lufthansa Group’s passenger airlines. Africa. He was also responsible for managing and developing global sales programs and tools, as well as sustainability strategies and projects for corporate clients. In addition, she led global sales communications for the Lufthansa Group. Lorenza Maggio was previously responsible for brand and customer strategy at Eurowings and was Managing Director of the LSG Group subsidiary.
