IRGC uses AI for air defense and navy operations

According to the Iranian elite army commander, IRGC plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) in air defense and naval systems.

General Josein Salami said on Wednesday that the Islamic Revolution Corps Corps would use AI for various purposes, such as attacking enemy ships or ships that supply logistics of those ships.

Salami stated that IRGC tries to maintain ethics in the use of AI in the Navy operations, and that the technology will help the logistics vessel to spare from the attack.

“We are Muslims … Our methodology (using AI) is as important as our value,” he said. The ship when they were attacked.

The general said that AI would also help improve air defense capabilities. Especially when you are facing simultaneous attacks by several fighters.

He stated that using AI in the air defense operating system would greatly improve the Tenshi Ility in dealing with complex threats.

The IRGC commander said that AI would also be used for military medicine, aviation safety, and other duties of units.

Comments were held at a ceremony in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where salami and other senior officials announced a comprehensive roadmap for using AI in IRGC.

“We have decided to make progress with AI, and we will take the first step in a powerful way,” said the ceremony.
