New Delhi: The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League season will be kicked off in a high-octane clash between defending champions Kolkata Knight Rider and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, held at Eden Gardens on March 22nd.
Eden Garden, the home ground of IPL 2024 title winner KKR, will also be the venue for the grand finale on May 25th.
In addition, qualifying 2 will also be held at the venue on May 23rd.
Two other playoff matches – Qualifying 1 on May 20th and Eliminator on May 21st – will take place in Hyderabad, the home ground of 2024 runner-up Sunrise Hyderabad.
The season features a total of 74 games played over 65 days.
There are 12 double headers and the match will take place in 13 cities – 10 host cities and Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Dharamsala.
The afternoon game starts at 3:30pm, while the evening game starts at IST from 7:30pm.
